He was always a little silly in the mornings. 

Before he even addressed her face, he’d say hello to her toes, planting a quick kiss to each one as she giggled and squirmed. Then he’d greet her legs, having a little nonchalant conversation about what a lovely morning it was, and where they planned on walking today. Then he’d reach the curve of her thigh, the swell of her bum, and he’d get a little more intimate, one hand coming up to cover the side of his mouth, and keep his correspondence secret. 

She could feel the whisper of his voice against her bare skin, and it tickled like crazy, trying to pull away and squirm from him, but he held her still with his other hand, firm, the fingertips creating small dimples in the skin. Sometimes it would last as long as five minutes, before he found her stomach and grinned, giving it a long, lingering kiss, followed by an ‘Oh, hello there.’ to each of her nipples, and then, finally, sliding up her neck to find her mouth. 

“Good morning beautiful. Sorry it took me so long, but you know how much I love the rest of you.” He’d smile, and she’d laugh and roll her eyes.
